We are more aware of diversity in Wales than we were, say thirty years ago – but as the proverb puts it, nid da lle gellir gwell – ‘not good, if it can be done better’. Awareness is not the same thing as acceptance and tolerance – but is, hopefully, a step in that direction. This excellent collection of essays from Parthian is a timely and welcome contribution to the discussion of diversity in Wales. These are voices we need to hear.
