For some years Honno Press has produced anthologies exploring women’s lives in Wales at particular historical moments. Parachutes and Petticoats (1992) recounted their Second World War experiences. Struggle or Starve (1998) focused on the inter-war years in the south Wales Valleys, interweaving extracts from autobiographies with reminiscences by previously unpublished writers. Changing Times (2003) recollected the 1950s and 1960s; two of its forty-plus contributors feature in this new book.
