Mike Parker stood for Plaid Cymru in the 2015 general election in Ceredigion, where he was one of only eight lead opponents in the whole UK who failed that night to dislodge the sitting Lib Dem MP. His book The Greasy Poll: Diary of a Controversial Election (Y Lolfa) tells the sorry tale.
