Set into the bedrock of the Cambrian Mountains where hill farmers carve out a meagre living within a harsh, precarious environment, the story opens on a Cardigan Bay beach where a small, ravaged group, struggle for life as they emerge from the storm-tossed sea. The threat from which they have saved one of their own with her small child, casts a shadow of psychopathic revenge over what follows.
