Travelling from Cornwall to England, like travelling from Wales to England, always feels like it should take much longer than it does, the cultural differences are that profound, albeit very subtly so; but travelling from Wales to Cornwall is an even more uncanny experience – like side-stepping into an alternative reality. By no means are the two places twins of each other (they look and feel quite different), but they could be estranged cousins, perhaps, who had lost touch over the course of many centuries.
